This is a list of all the project ideas I’ve had over the years. Some vague, some not even worth doing and some cool stuff I never got around to do.

Ideas I’ve in green are things I (xetera) have personally done. The ones in blue are things I’d really like someone else to do and message me about so I can use it and tell others too.

I’m currently working at https://querydoctor.com building db optimization tools for developers.

💡An app that lets you doomscroll on popular social media posts of the target language/culture and you get tasks trying to learn new words by breaking down real comments people have written

Difficulty

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Data collection is going to be a big hurdle. Not to mention having to actually make a language learning app itself. Many problems to tackle here.

💡A mobile app that lets you turn images into physical albums, lay them all out the way you want it, print it and ship them to the user. Could do subscriptions and ship people a ‘gallery wrapped’ at the end of the year or something.

Difficulty

⭐⭐⭐ The biggest challenge here will probably be reaching out to local print shops/photographers to get the photos printed. Quite a lot of manual labor involved, the tech is actually fairly simple.

Crossplay proxy. Implement crossplay for games between otherwise-incompatible clients. For example, you can’t play stardew valley on a switch with PC users. But a translation layer may make that possible

switch client <-> proxy <-> PC host

Difficulty

⭐⭐⭐ You’ll need a ton of reverse engineering skills to make this work and access to multiple physical devices you can compare. Every packet from both platforms needs to be meticulously examined and mapped out
